This policy explains how Reel Maker handles personal data on reelmaker.video (the "Site"), including the waitlist, the chat on the Site and the emails we send. We keep it short and specific.
Who is responsible
The Site is operated by Ala Kuchynskaya, a private individual and the founder of Reel Maker (the "data controller"). Contact: hello@reelmaker.video.

The chat on the Site is an AI assistant. Its answers are generated automatically and can contain mistakes; please do not share sensitive personal data in it. The chat remembers your conversation in your own browser (local storage) so it stays open between pages.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics on the Site. The admin area uses one strictly necessary login cookie for the site owner only.
Legal basis
We process your email and the related signup data on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you give by submitting the form. Chat messages are processed to answer you and, on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the product, to understand common questions (Art. 6(1)(f)); a "Message Ala" request is processed to reply to you. Anti-spam protection relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the Site, stores the database and runs the AI model that writes the chat replies (Workers AI).
- Resend sends our emails.
- Telegram delivers private notifications to the site owner: new signups, important chat messages and a daily summary.
These providers process data only to provide their service to us. Some of them are located in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside your country, including outside the EU/EEA. Where required, such transfers rely on safeguards like the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist data while you are on the list, and chat conversations for up to 12 months. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record of the request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/EEA and UK, or under California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email hello@reelmaker.video from the address you signed up with. We will answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Emails and unsubscribing
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe option. You can also simply reply "unsubscribe" or write to hello@reelmaker.video.
Children
The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access limited to the site owner. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes we will notify people on the list by email.
